1200 degrees distributed to graduates in Convocation at DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh

A convocation ceremony is a special day in the academic life of students. Today it was a special day for the Post Graduate and Undergraduate students of DAV College as its annual convocation was held and about 1200 degrees were distributed. The chief guerst of the convocation was Mr. Prabodh Mahajan who is the son of Late Justice (Dr.) Mehr Chand Mahajan (former Chief Justice of India, Prime Minister, Jammu & Kashmir. Sh. Prabodh Mahajan who is a civic activist, Business Consultantand social environmentalist delivered a very inspirational convocation address. He encouraged the students to work hard and not to go ash tray. He also advised them to inculcate good virtues and live a life that is relevant to the society and to the nation. He insisted in his address to have a good team spirit and in his address, he gave tremendous confidence to the young graduates. He focused on the inner search, faith in one’s inherent goodness and determination to overcome one’s negative emotions will kindle the spiritual awakening, leading to more good in the society. His optimist perfection in ethics and values has been a square of constant support and motivation.  Principal B.C. Josan an annual report and read out academic, sports and cultural achievements of the college. Sh. Rajinder Nath, Vice president DAV CMC, New Delhi and Sh. H.R. Gandhar, Advisor to the president, Sh. Poonam Suri, DAVCMC, New Delhi also graced the occasion with their benign presence. 500 degrees were distributed to the post graduate students of various streams and about 700 degrees of undergraduate classes were distributed. After the convocation the students were seen in the jubilant mood and congratulated among themselves after receiving the degrees.
