Traditional Punjabi songs released by Dr Pooja to coincide with Baisakhi festivities

A renowned Punjabi singer Dr. Pooja released  three of her Punjabi traditional songs “Sehraa, Lakh Lakh Waariyan and Kaavan” during a press meet held at Press Club, Sector 27,  here. The songs’ posters were released by renowned  Punjabi and Bollywood actress, Savita Bhatti who was also the chief guest at the event.

“Initially ‘Singing’ was just my hobby but with the passage of time it became an important part of my life.  To pursue my passion,  I started learning classical vocal,” said Dr Pooja.

“I am trying to express my love for Punjabi culture and also to contribute to its expansion through my newly released traditional Punjabi songs,” added Dr Pooja.

The music of the new traditional songs has been given by Chandigarh’s well-known Music Director and Ghazal singer Ranbir Kumar, while the videos have been directed by Kuldeep Deep.

Notably,  music director, Ranbir Kumar has promoted many singers in the past few years and this time for the music enthusiasts he has introduced a melodious and fresh voice of Dr. Pooja. It is noteworthy that Dr. Pooja who is a well-qualified singer has lent her voice in all three songs as an act of charity.

Dr Pooja’s musical journey started from her childhood days or it won’t be wrong in saying that she has inherited her talent from her grandfather “Late Master Natha Singh Ji ‘ Nirdosh”  who had been a very well-known Religious singer and preacher.

Dr. Pooja gave her first-ever stage performance at the age of just four. Singing has always been her first love and passion. She nurtured her talent and made her singing more effective with her immense hard work, tireless efforts and hard training sessions.

Dr. Pooja did her Master’s Degree in classical Vocal and topped the entire university and bagged a Gold Medal for the same. She has also done her PHD Degree in Music. During her School, College and University days she has always participated in very prestigious Music Competitions in various categories such as Classical Vocal, Folk Singing, Ghazal by herself connected with traditional music through her singing and today  All the songs are being released under the banner of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma’.
