In an untoward situation of accident, natural disaster, pandemic, riots, during birth and during death, these men in white care only for the patients who are in the back of their ambulance stretcher navigating the tightest lanes of a concrete city or the craggy terrain of a rural district. They race with time to save lives and transport patients at the earliest to the nearest care center. To honor these heroes, 108 Ambulance felicitated Ranjit Singh of Nawan Shahr with best pilot award for his exemplary service as an Ambulance pilot. The award is based on overall performance, ambulance mileage, no of patients handled and overall maintenance of the Ambulance.
Sharing his views, Mr. Manish Batra, Project Head, 108 Ambulance said, “I am very proud of Mr. Singh to have proven himself as an excellent pilot. Being a pilot is a tough job and requires lots of patience and cool. The pilot receives umpteen calls and instructions along with difficult scenarios and weather conditions. He must be his deft self to transport the patient in time where he races with time on jam packed roads. It requires both skill and assiduity.”
Elated with this recognition, Ranjit Singh, pilot, 108 Ambulance said, “I am honoured to be getting this award. I am happy that my efforts are being recognised and will try an upscale my skills to my best ability for future.”
