Rotary Utsav 2025, organized by the Rotary Club, Sec 70 Mohali, has kicked-off at DIPLAST, The Treehouse Farm, Dappar, in the Chandigarh Capital region’s Mohali district, with an exciting Talent Hunt competition. Individuals showcased their skills in singing, dancing, mimicry, poetry, and more. It was a great opportunity for participants to gain exposure and get noticed by entertainment industry experts. Special guests at the event included Jaiveer Juneja, the latest sensation on Disney + Hotstar’s series ‘Power of Paanch’, and Producer Paramjeet Singh from Mumbai. The ‘judging panel’ featured Daljeet Singh Munak, a renowned film producer who has produced Pollywood, Bollywood & even Hollywood films and Arshpreet Ahluwalia, a celebrated Bollywood fashion designer. Exciting cash prizes were given to winners.
Another key event at Rotary Utsav is the Rotary Start-up Conclave on January 26th, 2025, which will feature keynote speakers such as industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators, inspiring budding talents and empowering them to achieve their goals. During Rotary Utsav 2025 there will be cultural activities and a food festival. The idea is to not only celebrate community, food, and entertainment but also support several vital social initiatives. These include educational scholarships for underprivileged children, healthcare programs, women empowerment, and upgrading the Rotary Vocational Training Center.
Jaiveer Juneja who is playing the character of Ranveer Deol in the web series ‘Power of Paanch’ on Disney+ Hotstar interacted with the media along-with other celebrity guests. Jaiveer Juneja who is also coming in a film as main lead said, “Such platforms played a pivotal role in identifying talent for the entertainment industry of India as well as north-mainly in Punjabi films. Punjabi films have come a long way and have carved out a niche for themselves.”
Paramjeet Singh who is a well-known personality in the film industry from Mumbai said, “The stage given to talented artists helped them gain in confidence and added to their portfolio.”
Daljeet Singh Munak who has produced international films like ‘The Last King of India’ and ‘Anatomy of the Warrior’ with Oscar nominated actor Steve Nijjer complimented Rotary for holding the talent hunt initiative. “Such activities give a push to creative talent,” he said.
Arshpreet Ahluwalia a fashion designer who has designed for celebrities like Lakhwinder Wadali, Jassie Gill, Wamiqa Gabbi, Shamita Shetty, Aparshakti Khurana, Ammy Virk, Ranjit Bawa & many more said that the event was the need of the hour and that the entertainment industry provides multiple job opportunities and costume designing is one of the most important aspects of films.
A major highlight of the event, in addition to these major events, will be a vibrant Shopping Carnival, offering a diverse range of unique items—from handicrafts and jewelry to homemade pickles. The event will also showcase an art exhibition and photography displays, adding a creative flair to the festival. For families, there are plenty of kids’ activities, and for those interested in learning, there will be entrepreneurship workshops and agricultural showcases.
