SPEAK India (Society for Promotion of Ethical & Affordable health Care) will hold inter-college Skit competition on Tuesday, January 23 at Government College for Men, Sector 11, to inculcate a culture of health

Giving the information, Dr. R. Kumar President of the society, said, College Principal B.P. Yadav will welcome the participants and guests. The NGO is reaching out to the society at large through the youth of colleges and schools to usher in healthy India. 1st, 2nd, 3rd cash prizes of Rs 7000, 5000, 3000, will be given to winning teams respectively.

“Mindset of consulting a doctor, use of medicines or surgery should be last resort, and healthy lifestyle should be the motto”, Dr. Kumar said.

Lt. Col. B.S. Sandhu (retd.), Chairman, Continental Group of Institutes (CGI) will be the chief guest on the occasion while B.L. Aggarwal, Chairman Saraswati Group of Colleges will be the Guest of Honour.

SPEAK has been spearheading health awareness campaign. It organized street plays, series of plays at Kala Bhawan, Sector 16 and Tagore theatre, workshop for school teachers, yoga competition, painting competition and healthy life style walk at Sukhna Lake to spread message of good health. Future events include seminars, debates and essay competition, he added.
