Today, 10th Seven-A-Side R.F. Saupin Memorial Football Trophy for girls concluded with Sacred Heart School winning the trophy from host Saupin’s School Chandigarh in a closely fought final at Saupin School, Sector 32, Chandigarh.
2 Semi-Finals and Final match results were given below :-
1st Semi- Final Match :- The first semi-final match was played between Saupin’s Chandigarh and Saupin’s School Mohali. It was a goalless draw, and Saupin’s Chandigarh came out on top in the penalty shootouts.
2nd Semi-Final Match :- In the second semi-final match , Sacred Heart School beat Vivek High School by 2-0.
Final Match :- The final was closely fought between Saupin’s Chandigarh and Sacred Heart School, and ended in penalty shootouts, which Sacred Heart won 3-2. Shruti, Ridhima and Arshdeep scored for Sacred Heart while Komal and Muskan scored for Saupin’s Chandigarh.
Khooshi Sharma of Saupin’s School was awarded girl of the match. Shruti Mudgil of Sacred Heart School won best player of the tournament while the best goalkeeper award went to Manmeet Kaur of Saupin’s School, Chandigarh.
