A zonal meeting of the North Zone Teachers’ association of AIFUCTO was held on Sunday at DAV college Chandigarh under the chairmanship of Zonal secretary Prof. Attar Singh. Principal Dr. Pawan Sharma formally welcomed all the dignitaries.
PCCTU President Dr. B.V. Sharma informed that in this meeting teachers from the North region i. e. Delhi , Haryana,Punjab. Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir participated and threadbare discussed issues and challenges pertaining to the Teaching community. Dr. Ghanshyam Dev, Vice President PCCTU told that the following resolutions have been passed :-
1 Implementation of 7th Pay Commission with regulations in all the states after removing 6th Pay Commission anomalies at the earliest.
2 Participation in the AIFUCTO/FEDCUTA ‘SAVE CAMPUS,SAVE EDUCATION, SAVE INDIA” march on 19-02-2019 at New Delhi.
3 Regular recruitments on vacant posts with full pay scales and allowances as per UGC guidelines at the earliest.
4 Withdrawal of NPS and restoration of Old Pension Scheme.
The meeting was concluded with a formal vote of thanks by District President Dr. Himanshu of PCCTU District Council of Chandigarh.
