BJP Chandigarh Ward no. 9 organized a Programme ‘Chai pe Charcha’ where BJP Chandigarh State President Sanjay Tandon interacted with several people including office bearers of RWAs, CBOs, NGOs and other intellectuals and professionals from different fields. The interaction was organized to discuss in detail issues regarding development of Chandigarh.
Sanjay was first welcomed by Baba Balwinder Singh of Sector 39 Gurudwara by presentation of ‘Siropa’. Thereafter, V.P Arora, chief of Hindu Mahasabha of Sector 40 temple welcomed him by presenting him a sculpture. BJP Ward no. 9 workers welcomed all the guests to the meeting.
Several questions were asked to Sanjay regarding development issues of Chandigarh by the present gathering. Sanjay answered their questions and said that BJP has always been standing with every citizen of the city to help them resolve any issues they face. He mentioned that most of the issues faced by residents of CHB houses has been resolved. Important demand of the industrialists of the city of need based changes to their premises was got approved. Housing scheme for UT employees was restarted.

Sanjay replying to Congress leader Pawan Kumar Bansal’s comments about increased cost of the housing schemes said that Pawan Kumar Bansal and his party is responsible for the same. He said, this is a question which Congress party leader should answer that why the Scheme was not implemented when Congress party was in power from 2004 to 2014. He UT Employees were tricked when former governor Shivraj Patil shelved the housing scheme. Today when, UT Employees dream of their own houses is on its way to fulfilment Pawan Kumar is making misleading statements and misinforming public.

Sanjay further described the various development schemes undertaken by the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. He said the present government is decisive government who has taken real decisions to empower youth and women of the country and development of every strata of society without any discrimination. He described how the government’s actions like demonetization to curb corruption, implementation of GST to have one nation one tax structure to help traders and businesses, surgical strikes to curb terrorism have made definite difference in last 4 years. He further elaborated on government’s medical welfare schemes like Aushdhi centres, Ayushman etc and how these schemes have benefitted the common person of the country in so many ways.

He said, the country has seen definite change for good in last 4 years. BJP has brought the nation out of the pitiful state congress had left it in. He said the nation would touch new heights and people of the country will be able to see the marked difference once again under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi after Lok Sabha elections of 2019.
