Innovation Mission Punjab-supported startup, CountrysideExpress, a courier and cargo company initiated from Mohali, Punjab is now expanding to Bhatinda. Countryside Express specializes in courier deliveries in rural areas of Punjab. The new Bathinda logistics centre is situated near the Chandigarh-Bathinda highway at Plot 261, Bibiwala road.
By partnering with e-commerce companies seeking access to a large rural Indian market, CountrysideExpress aims to build trust by providing its on-time deliveries and creating entrepreneurs to transport documents and parcels to rural customers through its various franchise schemes. Through its network, it offers quick, effective, and reliable courier and cargo services in the regions of Punjab. By enabling customers to ship, track and deliver the goods online through digital platforms.
Lovesangeet Singh Aulakh, Founder and CEO of Countryside Express said, “We are developing a connecting gateway for any startup or corporate that wants to sell its products directly to the massive population of rural India. We are planning to open a franchise network in several towns and cities of the region to ensure seamless delivery services. We are aiming to expand services in more than 6000 villages across Punjab by the end of next year.”
Currently, Countryside Express’ customers are Polycab India, Hartek Group, Chandigarh University, Warsan Styles, and many more. By the end of this month, the company plans to open at least 100 Drop-off locations in the Bathinda region and 300+ franchises in the town, which will help village-level small shopkeepers generate additional income. Additionally, more than 300 micro-entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to launch a business in their towns.
Talking about funding and IMPunjab, Harinder Singh, CFO at Countryside Express said “IMPunjab has offered unwavering support since the beginning. We were able to build professional relationships with mentors as they offer individualized support to manage our accounts. IMPunjab has helped us in making investors pitch to raise funds to expand our network in other parts of Punjab. We have already clocked around more than INR 75 Lakhs through bootstrapping to date.”
