Dev Samaj College of Education: P.U. Inter-Zonal Skill-in-Teaching Competition held

Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh conducted P.U. Inter-Zonal Skill-in-Teaching and On the Spot Preparation of Teaching Aids Competition 2019 in which more than 60 P.U. affiliated colleges situated in Punjab and Chandigarh and around 120 participants competed in 3 subjects namely Social Studies, Home Science, and Physical Education. Dr. Surinder Singh Sangha, Dean Faculty of Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh graced the event as the Chief Guest. Dr. Tarlok Bandhu, Principal, Khalsa College of Education, Sri Muktsar Sahib and Dr. Jatinder Grover, Associate Professor, Panjab University, Chandigarh were the Guest of Honor. Shri Nirmal Singh Ji Dhillon, Secretary,Dev Samaj and Chairman, Dev Samaj College of Education was also present on the occasion. Dr.(Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon, Principal of the college congratulated all the winners and appreciated the organizers. In the category of skill-in teaching, following students bagged positions in various subjects.

The results are as follows:

In Pedagogy of Home Science, Komalpreet of DAV College of Education, Abohar stood first followed by Deepka of BCM College of Education, Ludhiana while Navedita of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh secured third position.  In Pedagogy of Physical Education, Neha Jaswal of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh got first position while Ravneet Kaur of DAV College of Education, Abohar stood at second position. Vijay Kumar of  Sant Baba Hari Singh Memorial Khalsa College of Education, Mahilpur secured third position. In Pedagogy of Social Studies (History /Sociology), Anju Thakur of B.C.M. College of Education, Ludhiana secured first position followed by Neha Gupta of A.S. College of Education, Khanna while Gagandeep Kaur of Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College of Education, Dasuya got third position.  In Pedagogy of Social Studies (Political Science /Public Administration), Gagandeep Singh of Baba Mangal Singh Institute of Higher Edu., Bughipura, Moga secured first position while Amandeep Kaur of Babe Ke College of Edu., Daudhar, Moga secured second place. Ankita of Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, Chandigarh got third position. In Pedagogy of Social Studies (Geography including Psychology, Religious studies, Philosophy, Education), Aneesha Verma of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh got first position while Heena Narang of Malwa central College of Education, Ludhiana was at the second and Harneet Kaur of B.C.M. College of Education, Ludhiana at third position.

In the category of on the spot preparation of teaching aid, following students bagged positions in various subjects. In Pedagogy of Home Science, Nitima of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh got first position while Prinka Rani of Malwa central College of Education, Ludhiana was at the second and Aarti of BCM College of Education, Ludhiana stood at third position. In Pedagogy of Physical Education, Neha Rani of  Sant Baba Hari Singh Memorial Khalsa College of Education, Mahilpur secured first position while Jaswant Singh of Babe Ke College of Education, Daudhar was at the second and Vandana Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B, Chandigarh bagged third position. In Pedagogy of Social Studies (History /Sociology),  Sukhdeep Singh of Babe Ke College of Education Daudhar bagged first position while Manjinder Kaur of Guru Gobind Singh College of Education, Gidderbaha was at the second and Hardeep Kaur of Saint Sahara College of Education, Mukatsar got third position. InPedagogy of Social Studies (Political Science /Public Administration), Rajbir Kaur of GHG Harparkash College of Education , Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana secured first position while Gurmeet Singh of DAV College of Education, Abohar was at the second. Manpreet Kaur of Teg Bahadur Khalsa College of Education, Dasuya got third position. In Pedagogy of Social Studies (Geography including Psychology, Religious studies, Philosophy, Education), Parmjit Kaur of D.D. Jain College of Education, Ludhiana secured top position followed by Prem Kumar of Jyoti B.Ed. College Village Rampura. Fazilka. Kajal Bhardwaj of B.C.M. College of Education, Ludhiana got third position.
