The department of Extension Education of Govt. Home Science College, Sector-10, Chandigarh, organized an awareness programme on March 16, 2017, in village Khuda- Ali –Sher. Principal Dr. Sudha Katiyal initiated awareness movement towards cashless society in tune with digital India movement carried out by Govt. of India.
Information regarding different modes of digital payments was disseminated among the villagers like demonstration on use of ATM and mobile payment applications. An awareness rally was carried out by students of B.Sc. Home Science Semester VI (ATD stream) with their faculty Mrs. Shalu Gupta for motivating local people to enthusiastically incorporate the digitalization in their day to day life.
