A fresher’s party was held at Northern Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT), Mohali on Thursday evening. Around 400 students participated in the event with full zest and zeal.
During the occasion, K.S. Brar, Director while greeting the juniors and welcoming them to the NIIFT family said that their time at this prestigious institute would be a life changing experience that would help them once they step out into the professional world.
Inderjit Singh, registrar, all faculty and staff members were also presented during occasion.
The whole aura of the gathering was well set by the “The Dazzle Night” theme. Inquisitive about the campus life and conscious of the latest fashion trends, the fresher’s dressed to their best in shimmering outfits. The ceremony saw many dazzling performances by seniors and juniors that made the evening more charming. The event acted as an ice breaking session with the juniors and the seniors sizzling on the stage alike in steaming hip-hop, rocking bhangra, melodious chorus and amazing fillers. A round of ramp walk by the juniors very well marked their entry into the fashion institute.
The entertainment quotient of the party went higher up with fun filled games like- name the cosmetic products in 30 seconds for boys and an interesting session of “Recognize your seniors”. Also the juniors got to mingle along with their seniors even well with their feet tapping to the latest rocking beats played by the DJ.
The highlight of the event were Mr. and Ms. fresher’s contest in which fresher’s walked the ramp gracefully and the number got reduced by each succeeding round till only two were left. The event concluded with prize distribution ceremony.
The team work of cultural committee headed by Meeta Gawri did their best to make the party a successful event. The event ended up with mash up of students enjoying together as a big whole family to share love and happiness and evening to be cherished lifelong with broad smile on their faces .
