Sahayak Gurukul, an organisation which aims at spreading investment awareness and which has been founded by a city based  IIM Lucknow alumnus Sandeep Sahni, has announced plans to organize a financial literacy programme for mothers on the eve of Mother’s Day. The session on money management, being held in association with CII Indian Women Network (CII-IWN) on May 13, will start at 4.30 pm at Hyatt Regency, Industrial Area, Phase 1, here. Sandeep Sahni said, “Women are better investors than men. Various research and surveys prove this fact. The reason is women are more patient and more disciplined and they also have a long-term goal in their minds. To coincide with Mother’s Day celebrations we want to spread financial literacy among mothers as a tribute to them.”
“The   mission at Sahayak Gurukul is to make at least a million people financially literate in our lifetime,” added Sahni. There will be an engaging conversation on financial literacy, investment avenues, making your money work for you and how to avoid financial mistakes. The event will consist of a Panel discussion on ‘Ma & Money’ followed by a session on ‘Investing in Motherhood’ by Sandeep Sahni.
“The programme is for mothers only as a tribute to them and shall focus on financial independence for mother’s and how to achieve the financial goals of children,” Sahni concluded.
