Prof. Rajiv Lochan, Director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Panjab University delivered a talk on “Improving Quality, Improving Research – The Matter of Increasing Visibility” in DAV College, Chandigarh yesterday. He talked about the necessity to ensure quality in education and research in order to meet the demands of present day requirements of students.
The necessity of Research in day to day existence, its relevance to enhancement of education was emphasised upon by him. He illustrated through an interesting presentation innovative ways by which education can make a lasting impact on an individual’s life.
The talk lasted for about two hours with an interactive session over tea with the faculty members and students of the college. The talk was preceded by a welcome address delivered by Dr. Pawan Sharma, Principal, DAV College who spoke about the potential in students to excel and how they can be motivated to learn more if the atmosphere provided is made conducive.
