DIVYA AZAD

Under the aegis of Shri Krishna Priya Ju Sankirtan Mandal, Vrindavan Praktya Utsav and Shrimad Bhagwat Katha are being organized at the Mela Ground in Sector 34, Chandigarh which will continue till October 13.

World famous Katha Vyas revered Shri Indresh Maharaj narrated Lord Shri Krishna’s Raas Leela on the sixth day of the program. While mentioning about Vrindavan, he recited the wonderful Leelas of Shri Radha Krishna. He told that Lord Shri Krishna’s Raas Leela and the Gopis is an evidence of pure and unwavering love and affection. He told that in the Raas Leela, it was forbidden for any other man except Shri Krishna to go there.

He also told that in the Raas Leela, Lord Shiva had seen the Raas in the disguise of a woman. In Raas Leela, distrusting a living being and lust both are a sin. He added that in Raas Leela, whenever a living being becomes arrogant, God distances from him. It is mentioned in Raas Leela that Rukmani is Lakshmi in person and she cannot stay away from Narayana. It is also described in Raas Leela that wealth should be used for charity and when someone worships Lakshmi Narayan or serves them selflessly, they automatically receive the blessings of the almighty.

During the discourse, he described about the Radha Kund and Krishna Kund and also defined the Shri Krishna’s childhood. He mentioned how he would steal and savour makhan (Butter) from the hands of Kishoris (Small girls), and that is how he got his name ‘Makhan chor’ (Butter thief) of Vrindavan. How in the disguise of a small girl he arrived at Barsana and relished butter. Each act of Shri Krishna ji had a hidden message for the people.

He told that ‘Bhagwat Puran’ is one of the eighteen Puranas of the Hindu religion. It is also called Shrimad Bhagwatam or simply Bhagwatam. Its main subject is Bhakti Yoga.

Maharaj Ji narrated the leela of ‘Govardhan Dharan’ during the discourse and told that there is no mysticism in a love relationship, it is pure love. Even at the time of Govardhan Dharan, how the people of Brij did not consider Hari as God but considered him as their ‘Lalla’, so when in love, what one sees is love all around, nothing else because everything else appears useless.
