The special cricket trial of 35 players who excelled in Gully Cricket Tournament was held at Mahajan Cricket Ground, IT Park on Tuesday. The screening process which lasted for more than two hours was conducted under the supervision of UTCA Under-19 team selectors Vijay Mathur, Vishwas Bhalla and Praveen Sharma. UTCA provided cricket kits for the trials. According to the selectors, there was a lot of enthusiasm among the players wherein they found the potential in their pace attack as well all round ability to perform. They express their satisfaction over their  technique in the majority of the players who only need a right mentorship.

UTCA has announced the trials of its registered players while after the trials of these 35 players, the outstanding boys will get a ‘wild card’ entry in the U-16 and U-19 teams for the upcoming UTCA Domestic Tournament to be scheduled in May 2023.

Meanwhile, 55 registered players turned up for the first day of men’s senior trials at GMSS School, Sector 26. The players were tested under the supervision of selectors Rajeev Nayyar, Sanjay Dull and Yogindra Bhandari. The trials will continue on Wednesday.
