Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment today inaugurated three day long exhibition being organized by Photo Journalists Welfare Association (PJWA) today at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector 16, Chandigarh. A total of 40 photojournalists are displaying their over 88 photo frames depicting the plight, agony, pain, laurel and achievement of women world. Exhibition is also addressing the various themed on Swatchh Bharat and Khelo India.

According to Akhilesh Kumar, President, Photo Journalist Welfare Association (PJWA), “This is the fifth exhibition in the row being organized by association which is aimed to provide platform for those work our photojournalists which are generally not treated in media or newsprint. Our fellow photojournalists think beyond from the media prospective and touches the human lives to a greater extend so that it comes learning for society at large.”

In his address, Minister Vijay Sampla applauded the efforts of the association and said all three themes, ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padao’, Swachh Bharat and Khelo India has a great relevance to our nation. These frames are eye opener to our society and provide great learning to every visitor coming here. He assured best possible help to association for their endavour in near future

Present on the occasion Sanjay Sharma ‘Kurl’ said exhibition will not only serve the platform to the work of photojournalists but also sharped the skills of beginners. During the exhibition, association is imparting the free tips and skills to budding photographers whoso ever desire the learn in three days event.

Harjit Garewal, former President, Punjab BJP, Vineet Joshi, former Chief Parliamentary Secretary, MP Kirron Kher, Sahibee Anand, Municipal Councilor, Mohali, Gurmukh Walia, social worker also visited the exhibition and appreciated  the efforts.
