The State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chandigarh Sanjay Tandon participated in the Dusshera Celebration programme organized by Saraswati Dusshera Committee in Sector 24 today. The other dignitaries who graced the occasion included the MP, Kirron Kher, Mayor Asha Jaswal, Local Area Councilor, Sunita Dhawan, Ramvir Bhatti, Mandal President, Birbal, District President, Jatinder Malhotra and area residents.
While extending greetings on the auspicious day of Vijaydashmi, Sanjay Tandon said, “We celebrate Lord Rama’s victory over Lanka after destroying Ravana, symbol of ‘ahankar’(ego). It is an occasion of victory of good over evil. On this day I pray for the happiness and prosperity of people”.
