GGDSD College, Chandigarh once again proved to be the top choice of students for BCom in the centralised admission for the UT Pool at Panjab University here today. All 212 seats for the UT Pool of the College were filled within 90 minutes with the last rank admitted being 334 and the cutoff score being 107.2.
Previously, in the admissions to General Pool on the first day, all 36 seats of the College had got filled within 50 minutes of the start of admission process. The last rank admitted in General Pool was is 118 with the Cut off score of 110.8.
Principal Dr Bhushan Kumar Sharma informed that “The PG Department of Commerce, SD College, Chandigarh has been ranked 12th at All India Level by India Today and 9th by Times of India in May 2017.”
It is the largest Commerce Department under Panjab University, Chandigarh in terms of the number of students enrolled (2000) and faculty employed (core 46 and allied 28).
The Department has also been declared STAR Department under the CPE scheme of the UGC.
