Shivanand Choubey Memorial Charitable Trust (Regd.) Chandigarh organized Women’s Felicitation Ceremony on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Community Centre, Sector 47B, Chandigarh here today. Chief guest of the programme was Ms Niharika Bhatt, IPS, SP City, Chandigarh. The event was supported by Target Consultancy Pvt.Ltd, Sigma Softgel Foundation and Defence Realtors Group. Rahul Choubey, Secretary of the Trust also addressed.
Guest of honour were Devesh Moudgil, former Mayor, Chandigarh, Anil Kumar Dubey, Ex Deputy Mayor, Ajay Shukla, Editor in Chief, India News, Mrinal, Director, Sigma Soft Gel & Formulation, Baddi, Rakesh Sharma, Director, Defence Realtors Group, Arvind Dubey, Mahender Choubey and Kripa Sindhu Yadav.
The women achievers who were felicitated included: Sushma Nirala w/o Ashok Chakra winner Capt Jyoti Prakash Nirala, Minal Mishra, Meera Sharma, Anshu Yadav, Kanchan Yadav, Diksha Sharma, Dr. Annie Charles Samuel, Director, Mount Carmel School, Monika Dhall, Jasleen kaur, Gurleen Kaur, Rajani Yadav, Dr Goma Bali Bajaj, Dr Komil Tyagi and Smt. Bimla Dubey
Saroj Choubey and Sanjay Kumar Choubey, Chairman, Shivanand Memorial Cheritable Trust (Regd) Chandigarh, said, “We continue doing various social work programmes round the year. Celebrating women’s day is our way of encouraging women to get ahead in life.”
Niharika Bhatt said that women can achieve a lot if society and family support is available. Samvaad Theatre Group performed a play “Yeh Kaisi Vidai” on this occasion. The play was directed by Mukesh Sharma.
