In view of rising Covid-19 cases and scarcity of oxygen beds in the tricity area hospitals- Shuddhi Ayurveda, a chain of  ayurvedic clinics and hospitals in association with Savitry Charitable & Social Welfare Trust has setup Dera Bassi’s first COVID Care centre with 32 beds with a plan to soon upgrade bed capacity to 50. The new COVID Care centre was inaugurated by Dera Bassi MLA N.K Sharma.

The newly setup 32-beds’ COVID care centre is equipped with 19 beds with oxygen and has 13 separate beds in the COVID Care isolation ward for the affected patients. It is imperative to mention that Shuddhi Ayurveda, founded by famous Ayurveda expert Guru Manish ji would provide 24*7doctors’ support, helpers, Ayurvedic & allopathic COVID treatment protocols & medicines, and medical consultation at the centre.

Guru Manish Ji said, “After successfully treating Covid-19 patients at COVID care centre at Bal Bhawan, in Chandigarh, we were called upon by Dera Bassi MLA N K Sharma Ji to manage his COVID Care Centre at Zirakpur too. Now we have extended our services in Dera Bassi with the great support of NK Sharma ji.”

“The centre will benefit rural residents of the area and the treatment is free of cost,” added Guru Manish ji.

Shuddhi Ayurveda has set up the first Covid care centre in the area, which would come as a relief for patients searching for beds in neighbourhood hospitals. In these times of unprecedented challenges posed by the pandemic, the centre will provide yeoman’s service and will alleviate the pain and suffering of both COVID patients and their families.

During the occasion, N.K Sharma, said, “It is an important day as I have inaugurated Dera Bassi’s first COVID Care Centre which has oxygen beds and will be run under   the supervision of eminent specialists, & round clock treatment would be provided to the affected patients. Moreover, the centre will also provide considerable financial relief to the patients’ family.”

The centre will be different from other facilities as it will provide a mix of India’s time tested Ayurveda treatment as well as allopathic expertise. Both Ayurveda doctors and MBBS will man the facility. Extra precautions are being taken with diet as in Ayurveda a balanced diet is of great importance. A lot of credence has been given to a light diet, which is both natural & nutritious. The patients admitted to the hospital will not be served food like rice and dairy products as these increase the chances of the patient developing phlegm. The team under the leadership of Guru Manish Ji has devised special diet plans which will help patients recover faster. Natural healing methods like pranayaam etc will also be used to improve O2 saturation of patients.

The Shuddhi Super Speciality Hospital is located behind Jugraj Dhaba on Chandigarh-Delhi Highway in Dera Bassi and can be reached on the following phone number 08270482704.
