India’s youngest tractor brand, International Tractors Limited (ITL), makers of Sonalika tractors, which has built the World’s No 1 integrated tractor manufacturing plant in Hoshiarpur, Punjab,  showcased today its one of the most powerful tractors- RX 50 Sikander, with technologically advanced features like engine capacity of 3067 cc, 1600 Hydraulic pulling capacity, PTO at ‘PAU Kisan Mela in Ludhiana, Punjab. Other tractor models that the company also showcased   at theMela include GT – 26 4 WD, RX- 745 III 4 WD, RX – 35 Sikander, RX – 750 III Sikander, RX- 60 Sikander and Sikander WT-60 4 WD AC Cabin. All the tractors come equipped with advanced features to provide more power and speed, with minimal fuel consumption (Sabse Kaam Diesel me sabse zyada taqat aur raftar) to enable farmers to achieve the highest productivity at reduced operational cost.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Executive Director of Sonalika ITL, Mr. Raman Mittal said, “Sonalika enjoys the legacy of a trusted brand among 8 lakh farmers across India as well as globally. To cite an example, the newly launched Sikander series is an added testimony to our existing wide portfolio of tractor models. We are certain that Sikander’s revolutionary features will win the hearts of our beloved customers from all the states of India.”

Speaking about the region, Mr. Vivek Goyal, Deputy Country Head, said, “Punjab is a key market for us and PAU Kisan mela is an important platform for the company to connect with progressive farmers and update them with new technologies used in tractors that would enhance their farm productivity and increasing their income.”

PAU’s Kisan Mela 2018 was held from March 23 to 24, 2018 at Punjab Agriculture University in Ludhiana. The mela attracted considerable numbers of farmers from across Punjab and adjoining states. Themela also provided a participatory platform to farmers including farm-women and the local rural youth to visit PAU and enabled them to familiarize themselves with the farm innovations and the latest development in the field of agriculture.

Sonalika Tractors offers new implements to help double farmers’ income through enhancing productivity, which has led Sonalika to be chosen by Government of India as the contributing partner with Niti Aayog for doubling farmer’s income by year 2022.
