St. Anne’s Convent School, Sector -32 D, Chandigarh celebrated India’s 70th Republic Day. Rev. Fr. Dr. Robert Fernandez graced this occasion as the Chief Guest.  The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. To mark the importance of this day, a grand celebration was held in the school. The school echoed with patriotic fervor as the students marched forward in the school parade arousing the feeling of pride and honor for the country. The school band played the National Anthem at the unfurling of the flag. Students delivered short but inspiring and informative talk about the importance of the celebration and also about the achievements of the country in the last 70 years. Children drew scenes of Republic Day celebrations and sang patriotic songs.  To add on to the zeal and enthusiasm a special tribute was paid to the soldiers through “Aisa Desh Hai Mera”.

After having toiled hard, it was time to reap the reward for students of St Anne’s Convent School. The school celebrated its Annual Prize Distribution with great exuberance. On this auspicious occasion, Ms. Yukta (95%) and Master Aarush Aggarwal (95.6%), the school CBSE Class XII toppers (Science and Commerce stream) and Ms. Sree Divya (98.8%) and Kunal Narang (98.8%) Class X toppers were felicitated for performing well in the board examinations. They were presented with mementos and certificates. The winners of the 56thNational Games from our school, who lived up to the motto of our school ‘Let your light shine’ and brought glory to the school were honoured by the esteemed Chief Guest. The school also felicitated students who brought laurels in extra-curricular activities like State Level Science Exhibition and Times of India Aptitude Test.
