The TiE Chandigarh Chapter successfully completed the Finals of the TiE Women Global Pitch Competition 2023. The event showcased the extraordinary ingenuity and innovation of women entrepreneurs, underscoring TiE Chandigarh’s commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive startup ecosystem.

Out of a competitive pool of 46 applications, the top 10 participants emerged as finalists after a rigorous selection process. Each finalist presented their groundbreaking ideas in-person at the event, hosted at the AIC-ISB in Mohali. It not only offered a platform for these exceptional entrepreneurs to spotlight their visionary concepts but also highlighted their resilience and creativity in the face of challenges.

Furthermore, in an inspiring spirit of collaboration, TiE Chandigarh extended its support to participants from TiE Dehradun, handholding them throughout the program. This dynamic collaboration across TiE chapters demonstrated the organization’s commitment to fostering a cohesive entrepreneurial community and nurturing the growth and development of aspiring entrepreneurs across regions.

One-on-one mentorship was provided to all these 46 applicants by the TiE Chandigarh members community, underscoring the organization’s dedication to nurturing the growth and development of aspiring entrepreneurs.

The event garnered attention from a distinguished audience, including industry experts, investors, and fellow entrepreneurs. The finalists captivated the audience with their compelling pitches, showcasing innovative solutions spanning various sectors and industries. These presentations offered a glimpse into the future of innovation and entrepreneurship, emphasizing the transformative power of these groundbreaking ideas.

The highlight of the event was the recognition of Prerna Kalra as the triumphant entrepreneur. Her venture, Hanu AI, earned her the honor of representing the Chandigarh Chapter at the esteemed TiE Global Summit in Singapore. Additionally, Kalra was awarded a cash prize of Rs 25,000, recognizing her remarkable achievement. This accolade provides a global stage for Hanu AI and opens doors for international networking and investor relations.

Dr. Vipasha Sharma, founder of Mkelly Biotech Pvt. Ltd., secured the first runner-up position, while Dr. Pallavi Bansal, founder of Duuet, claimed the title of the second runner-up. Their exceptional contributions were rewarded with cash prizes of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. These prizes were made possible through the generous sponsorship of Sahil Makkar, MD of Punjab Angels Network.

In addition to the top positions, a ‘Special Jury Award’ was presented to Maitreyi Sharma, the founder of i-Resonate Technologies, accompanied by a cash prize of Rs 10,000, courtesy of TiE Chandigarh.
