Gian Jyoti Global School organized a ‘Tree Plantation Drive’ on the theme of ‘Plant a Tree, Save a Life’ at its campus in Phase-2, Mohali. Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal (IPS), Senior Supernatant of Police, Mohali was the Chief Guest on the Occasion. Mrs. Ranjeet Bedi, Director Principal of Gian Jyoti Global School Presided over the event.
Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal (IPS), Senior Supernatant of Police, Mohali speaking on the occasion said that objective of such Tree Plantation Drive is to make younger generation more sensitive towards environmental protection and emphasized on the need to build a greener world. The young generation should feel its responsibility and come forward with commitment and perform their role.
Mr. Chahal further said that the plantation is very close to his heart because he also runs a NGO and his NGO planted more than 25000 plants till date.
Mrs. Bedi while speaking on the occasion said that this Plantation Drive is the first Collaborative step by 5 different Schools of Mohali who under the banner of Hub of Learning have come together by an initiative of CBSE, New Delhi. The whole purpose to bring 5 different schools on one platform is to create an exceptional learning environment which will give returns in manifolds to the society.
Principal & Students of Shivalik Public School, Mohali, Paragon S.S.S., Mohali, Maxim Merry School, Kharar, Henderson Jubilee School, Kharar and A.S.Valley School, Derabassi also joined this joint effort to make this event a great success.
