In the ongoing series of outreach initiative and an effort to provide moral and emotional support, the NGO, Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), Western Command Chapter organized a “Veer Naris Sammelan” at Jadunath Sainik Institute, Chandimandir Cantt today. The event was organised with an aim to provide a concerted push for expeditious mitigation of myriad issues being faced by the “Veer Naris” of Chandigarh, Roopnagar, Mohali and Panchkula districts attended the event.
Mrs Sukhwant Kaur, Regional President, Army Wives Welfare Association, Western Command Chapter interacted with Veer Naris and felicitated them. She also assured the Veer Naris of all conceivable assistance being our “Duty” and “Dharma”.
Grievance and Pension Cell, Medical Camp, ECHS, Aadhar Card and Jeevan Praman registration and URC extension stalls were established at the Jadunath Sainik Institute (JSI), Chandimandir Cantt for the benefit of the Veer Naris.
AWWA, the NGO works for the cause of “Welfare of Veer Naris, widows and their dependents and remains committed towards their well being in recognition of the supreme sacrifices made by their valiant husbands, brothers and sons in the service of the Nation. The Army Wives Welfare Association, Western Command Chapter has been active in organizing a variety of activities, medical camps, providing financial assistance and employment to the “Veer Naris”.
