World environment day is just about the corner and everyone is gearing up to celebrate the same with much fervor and enthusiasm. Verka the flagship brand of Punjab State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation popularly known as MILKFED has been a front runner when it comes to celebrating the festivals and participating actively at various levels.

To mark the World environment day this year, Verka has successfully completed drawing competition in leading schools of the city revolving around the topics ofconservation of Mother Earth and natural resources, Global Warming and sustainable development. The winners of the competition will be announced on 5thJune on Verka’s social media handles.

Verka is known for taking effective steps in conservation of environment. The brand recently successfully conducted Tree plantation drive at various Verka dairies. Verka has also introduced e-office, the e-Office Mission Mode Project is one of the project under the National e-Governance Plan, Department of Information Technology of India.  Apart from this the brand is known for bringing societal changes at various levels, be it encouraging women farmers or introducing dairy farming at various levels.Verka has set an example for others to follow. These efforts are sure to bring the much-needed change in the society.
