WWICS Group of Companies has long been associated with the noble cause of preserving mother earth. The group has participated in many social activities aim to protect environment.
To keep this legacy forward, WWICS has organized a tree planting event at its Asian headquarters in Mohali on the occasion of World Environment Day. Over fifty samplings were planted on the occasion by Lt. Col. B.S. Sandhu, Chief Managing Director, WWICS Group of Companies. The whole staff at WWICS enthusiastically participated in this activity by planting saplings.
“The alarm bells are continuously ringing as the survival of mankind itself is in danger due to environment degradation, which is one of the most common and serious causes of global warming. Deforestation plays a major role in deteriorating environment by disturbing its ecological balance. At WWICS, we believe that it is the responsibility of each one of us to give back to the earth by doing a little bit for the nature.” said Lt. Col. B.S. Sandhu.
“World Environment Day is an excellent opportunity to take stock of how we live our lives, and make a commitment to do our bit for Mother Earth. One of the most easiest and effective environmental solutions an individual can implement is to plant trees and shrubs in big numbers.” Lt. Col. B.S. Sandhu asserted.
WWICS has been actively involved in such social activities and has organized various such events in the past as well including a tree plantation drive, which was organized at Forest Hill Resort, Village Karoran, Disst. Mohali in October 2018. Over 1000 samplings were planted on the occasion by the chief guest Mr. Sanjay Beniwal, IPS, DGP Chandigarh. The drive was also attended by Board of Directors and Advisory Board Members of WWICS Group, including LT. Gen. B.K.N Chibber, J.S. Ahluwalia, A.S. Chatha- Former Chief Secretary, Punjab, Maj. Gen. Savinder S. Sandhu, Lt. Gen. K.S. Mann (Retd.), L.S. Bhullar and H.S. Mamik.
