Celebrating the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the International Day of Nonviolence, the three days long 17th edition of Global Youth Peace Fest organized by Yuvsatta at Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management ended with a resolve to further spread and strengthen the partnerships between European and organizations of Global South. 

Jaishree Sharma, Chairperson of Piccadilly Square and daughter of former President of India Shankar Dayal Sharma was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

Paying her tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, Jaishree Sharma said that Gandhiji understood the dynamics of social change that could be executed only through Youth Power and especially by inspiring thousands of women to join India’s struggle for freedom. So far. Mahatma Gandhi’s ideas and ideals have not been fully utilized. They need to be disseminated with reinforced zeal, particularly amongst the youth, which will help them discover the Revolutionary Gandhi.

Jaishree Sharma presented the GYPF Peace Fest souvenir of portraits of Mahatma Gandhi to all the international delegates who participated in this endeavour from different countries of USA, Spain, The Netherlands, Bulgaria, Romania, Egypt, Mauritius, Malaysia, Nepal along with different states of India.

In his concluding remarks Pramod Sharma, Founder of Yuvsatta shared that now they’ll be coordinating with their other partners in USA, Europe, Africa and Asia to make this bond stronger for a better world. In days to come their strategy is to organize more online-offline training programmes, workshops, people to people international exchange activities and organization of important days for women rights and youth empowerment together globally.
