PGGC-11 held its annual convocation today His Excellency Shri V.P.Singh Badnore, Governor Punjab and Administrator UT, Chandigarh graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address to young graduates Shri V.P.Singh Badnore said, ‘learning is a continuous process. Education is the most potent tool that empowers our huge human potential. Make the best use of your degrees and prove your worth to society and the nation’. Work hard in the chosen field and serve the poor and needy to your best capacity. He also appreciated the alumni association’s involvement in taking new initiatives and furthering the vision of the college.
Principal Professor JK Sehgal read out the brief annual report highlighting the achievements of the students in the academic and co-curricular activities.
A total of 564 degrees including 110 Postgraduate and 454 Graduate degrees were conferred upon the students. Degrees in PG courses included subjects of English, History, Punjabi, Chemistry, Information Technology and Physical Education. Graduate stream included B.Com, B.Com (Hons), B.Sc , B.Sc Bio Tech (Hons), BBA, BCA, B.PED, BA (Hons) and BA. 13 students were awarded Roll of Honour for their excellent performance in Panjab University Examination in the session 2015-16. Also present on the occasion were President Alumni Association, Maninder Singh Bains, members of the alumni association, former Principals and other distinguished guests.
Ms Anuradha Mittal, Vice Principal of the College proposed a vote of thanks.
