It is said that “Har kamyab aadmi ke piche ek aurat hoti hai” but what is also true that “Har Kamyab Aurat ke piche bhi ek aadmi hi hota hai” who believes in her and let her be. It can a father, brother or Husband & even a son. For me, it was my Papa who literally gave me the wings to fly, fly so high that I reach heights. Today we complete 8 years of World Wisdom News and without my Papa it would have never been possible. He was the man behind and beside me who told me to start of my own.

The idea was finalized when I was in Amritsar on a family trip. So the thing was when I came back from Pune, I didn’t want to be in Media anymore. I know sounds surprising but I wanted to try other fields as I was fed up of things going on here. But you can’t change a Journalist. We have this feeling and habit of getting respected that we can’t work under those circumstances where we are not treated properly. I went to give so many interviews in other fields and I was not comfortable with their work environments. Plus we Reporters, we love field work. We can’t sit idle for long.

My inner Journalist was forcing me to get back and then situations led to one another and I started hanging out with my old buddies from Media. So in short I was back somehow. But I wasn’t working anywhere. One day I went to meet my old friend Shankar in a Press Conference at Press Club and I felt so bad & strange when a PR told me that the food is only for Media. Man, I knew this PR for years and he knew that I don’t go and eat in anyone else’s events. That was the time that I decided I need to join again.

The wave was Online Media. It was just starting but I had no clue of Websites and their working. Also so many non media people were getting into Media through this. It was shocking for me because we did our degrees and got experiences and then we were called Journalists. I was not ready to accept common people calling themselves Journalist, which by the way I don’t even accept even today.

One of the old Journalist made me meet a person (I won’t be taking names) who wanted to start his own website and wanted to hire a Journalist to work for it. I was hired, website was made. It was all going smooth. But then Chandigarh MC elections started. The person who hired me wanted me to cover it. We went sectors to sectors to meet those who were contesting. While covering it, one day we went to Chandigarh Press Club where some other event was going on. I decided to introduce myself as Journalist from that new Website and cover that event. I met my old Journalist Friends there and I was talking to them when that person (who hired me) came and saw me talking to other Journalists. He rushed me and forced me to leave the event and whatever I was talking in between. I felt that very strange as all I was doing is networking and making people aware of his News Website.

Then he told me to only focus on covering Politics. He was interested in getting Political connections to get famous & powerful. This was his intention of starting that News Website. But I was not at all interested in Politics at that time. As a Journalist I asked myself, Is this what a News Website is about? Did we started a Political Portal? And my mind replied back me to that a News Website covers everything including Politics, Lifestyle, Business, Sports & what not. So why aren’t we? I thought to myself that I am wasting my Journalist abilities by working with him.

I was so irritated and just after that we went for a Family Trip to Amritsar in January 2017. I am someone who can’t keep things inside if something is bothering me. I used to share each and every problem & my thoughts with my Papa. We were resting in hotel when I told my Papa that I am fed up of working with that person as he is forcing me to cover only politics. And I don’t want to limit myself to Politics only. He is bossing me around because he has a News Website of his own and I don’t. That’s when my Papa asked me “Kitne ki banti hai Website? Tu bhi apni bana le beta, Paise main dunga. Kisi ki baatein kyun sunni hain” I replied, “Pata nahi mujhe idea nahi, ek banda hai ushse puchna padega kitne ki banti hai.” Papa said, “Haan tu puch le aur apni banwa le. Pareshan mat ho, main de dunga paise.” And that was it. That’s what I needed. Not the money, but the support. The support of someone believing in me, someone saying main hun tu kar. That’s the kind of man my Papa was.

If he never told me to start it of my own and not to listen to other people, I would have been just roaming around working for other people & doing things that I don’t even like. He made me my own Boss, with his money, with his support, with his belief in me & my abilities.

We came back from Amritsar and I started my research on Websites. I got to know everything and my papa invested in my News Website. Actually the website was made on 23rd of January and I posted my first News (which was by the way a Negative News against a Government School) on 27th January. Then I went to travel Jaipur and started my work properly in March 2017. I celebrated my First Anniversary on 1st March 2017. But then later I decided that this would be very late as Website was actually functional on 23rd January. I didn’t want to mix it up with 26th January so I decided to celebrate my Website Anniversary on 1st of February every year.

Now, we have completed 8 years of World Wisdom News and we thrive on our Journey forward. My Papa is not around to see my growth and success but I know that he is watching me from above and he is proud of me. I am thankful to God for giving me my Papa who never let me dim my light. He was my biggest supporter in everything. He believed I could do it, so I did.

I am on this journey to prove my Papa was right. I will shine so bright because I had a best cheerleader. With this, I am thankful to you people also, who support me, read all my articles, watch all my videos and then love me more. Thank you everyone! Cheers to 8 and many more to come ahead!
