The Canara Bank Officers’ Organisation, Chandigarh organized its 44 th BLOOD DONATION CAMP at Shri Satyanarayan Mandir & Dharamshala, Sector 22-C, Chandigarh in association with Dept. of Transfusion Medicine, P.G.I.M.E.R., Chandigarh on the occasion of 72 nd Independence Day. More than 300 persons attended the camp and 201 units of blood were donated on this occasion. Sri ATUL KAPOOR, Vice President of Canara Bank Officers’ Organisation was the first to donate his blood (59th time). Certificates and Mementos were given to all the donors. Sri Rajinder Garg (186 th time); Sri Narinder Kwatra (104 th time); Sri Gulab Singh (99 th time); Sri Atul Kapoor (59 th time); Sri Chiman Lal Mutneja (52nd time); Sri H P Singh (63 rd time); & Sri Manmohan Singh (39 th time) were the star donors. There were also more than 20 FIRST TIME DONORS. Members of the Organisation along with their family members from Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali and faraway places like Ambala, Ludhiana, Patiala, Amritsar, Abohar, Bathinda, etc. came forward for donating the blood. Besides, Organ Donation Registration was done by many persons. Free Health Check up Camp was also organized on the occasion in association with Healing Hospital, Sector 34-A, Chandigarh and more than 100 persons were checked. Besides, Dental Check-up in association with Japjee and Bone Density Check-up in association with Dr. Harjinder Kaur Bhatia, Sector 37, Chandigarh & Acupressure treatment in association with Dr P N Gupta, Sector 20, Chandigarh were organized.
