Induction program was organised for the freshers who took admission in various courses in IGNOU study centre at DAV College, Chandigarh. The program was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Pawan Sharma. He motivated the students and advised them to attend counseling sessions offered at DAV College so as to take maximum benefit to take this opportunity. Dr. Anil Kumar, Regional Director welcomed the students. Dr.Savita Panwar and Dr. Nurul UL Hasan, Assistant Regional Directors were the speaker of today’s induction program. They highlighted the various rules for submission of assignments, time schedule of submission of fee, counseling sessions, how to prepare the projects etc. Professor Amitabh Dwivedi, Dr. Harmunish Taneja, Dr. Jagdish Mehta and Professor DP Semwal handled queries of the students and told students to go through the e-contents of IGNOU study material. The regular counseling sessions will be starting from coming Sunday and onwards. In IGNOU, working professionals take admissions and the counseling sessions are held only on Sunday’s. Professor Amitabh Dwivedi thanked the management, principal, faculty, staff and counsellors for running this study centre in effective manner.
