I. S Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector-21C, Chandigarh, celebrated India’s 70th Republic Day with pomp and gaiety, in the school premises. The programme was initiated with the national song ‘Vande Matram’ which was followed a by flag hoisting ceremony and national anthem. Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat – the chief coordinator of I S Dev Samaj School encouraged the students to take India forward and contribute to the country’s growth & development.
“It is a matter of pride for us that a contingent of our school’s students performed ‘Lavani’ dance -which is a folk dance of Maharashtra, at the Republic day celebration held by UT administration in parade ground, sec 17.” Said Loveleen Bedi, Principal.
Patriotic songs were sung and the dance performances held.
