Inspired by the ‘Invest Punjab’ initiated by Govt of Punjab, country’s largest cooperative group – Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative Limited (IFFCO) in a joint venture with Spain’s biggest food processing Company – Congelados de Navarra (CN Corp) are cashing high to invest in food processing unit at Samrala near Ludhiana. Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will be laying the foundation stone of this project on May 30 amidst Spanish and IFFCO functionaries. With a focus on exporting the product, CN-IFFCO Pvt. Ltd. aims to ‘Make in India’. With sharp focus on training of farmers, implementation of modern technology and know-how (of CN Corp. and IFFCO) the project would boost overall infrastructure within the Agro economic ecosystem of the region thereby contributing positively to the GDP of Punjab.
