A program was organized by BJP Chandigarh Yuva Morcha at Sector 3, War Memorial to pay tribute to the martyred soldiers on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. BJP Chandigarh President Sanjay Tandon was also present in the event.
Addressing the people on the occasion, Sanjay said, that today its is been 20 years since India won the Kargil war. Whole country is not celebrating the victory, but the bravery and valour of all the soldiers, some of whom made the ultimate sacrifice to win this war. Many people watched the war on the television, as it happened. He said, we can never forget the sacrifice of the brave soldiers who fought for their country and defeated the enemy despite all the odds against them.
26 July 1999, the Indian army declared victory in the Kargil war by successfully capturing the Indian territories back from the Pakistani infiltrators. The day is celebrated every year as the Kargil Vijay Diwas as a tribute to the soldiers martyred in this conflict. The country celebrates the brave soldiers who gave their today for our future.
