With the central theme of Adapt, Overcome and Improvise; TiECON Chandigarh, North India’s second biggest entrepreneurial event after New Delhi, is set to open its virtual doors from March 18 to 20, 2021. To promote wider participation, the event which would normally come at a ticket price of Rs. 2000, has been kept FREE for all attendees. This provides an incredible opportunity for young entrepreneurs, businesses and students to learn from and network with the Government and Industry stalwarts.
TiE, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region. It is a nonprofit organization devoted to entrepreneurs in all industries, at all stages, from incubation, throughout the entrepreneurial lifecycle. With a global reach and a local focus, the heart of TiE efforts lies in its five foundational programs, – Mentoring, Networking, Education, Funding, and Incubation. There are currently 15,000 members (including over 3000 charter members or mentors) in 61 chapters of TiE across 14 countries.
TiE Chandigarh is one of the most vibrant chapter across the vast TiE network. In the last 14 years, it has continuously taken the lead and hopes to build on its strength to create an increasingly positive ecosystem for the entrepreneurs and investors in the region.
The event this year will be inaugurated by Ms. Vini Mahajan, Chief Secretary of Punjab. The 3 day TiECON event will host 50+ esteemed speakers who have undeniable expertise in their respective fields. The event will feature multiple discussion panels, fireside chats and individual sessions focused on accelerating the growth of start-up ecosystem. The event will also feature some exciting workshops for young entrepreneurs from renowned professors of ISB and Prof. Wayne Brockbank of Michigan University. This is on the back of some 50+ workshops and mentoring sessions already conducted for various co-working spaces and incubators among others in the region. These sessions have been of great help to entrepreneurs in the past as is acknowledged by Mr. Deepanshu Goyal, CEO & Co-Founder at PrepLadder. PrepLadder was recently acquired by Unacademy for Rs 350+ crores in a cash and stock deal. Mr. Goyal was an active participant in TiE Chandigarh events and credits the association for providing immense learning opportunities to him during his entrepreneurial journey.
