One of the most sought-after art exhibitions of Tricity, Elysian-II has now marked its presence at the Government Museum and Art Gallery, Sector 10, Chandigarh. The 13th edition of Chandigarh-based artist Anu Singh’s artwork, Elysian-II celebrated the ethereal beauty of nature, one that is sure to hypnotize the lovers of art and nature.

The title of the exhibition, ‘Elysian-II’ hails its etymology from Greek Mythology that symbolizes a blissful and delightful state. Singh firmly believes that the picturesque landscapes and artwork displayed in the exhibition stands testament to an ‘elysian’ philosophy that is painted on the canvas.

When asked about her source of inspiration behind this scintillating artwork, Singh modestly shared, “I have always been in awe of mother nature, and the same translates in my artwork. Just like Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, ‘nature always wears the colours of the spirit’, my paintings are an ode to the myriad hues of nature.”

“Living intimately with nature always fills my heart and soul with ecstasy and that ultimately entices me to put those vivacious colours on my palette,” Singh firmly added.

The Elysian-II art exhibition had in store a wide range of paintings, ranging from the dark woods to the flourishing spring.

While providing an insider’s view into her paintings at the exhibition, Singh shared, “All my paintings that are displayed in the exhibition celebrate the vibrant yet dramatic contrasts of nature that are sure to bring solace in the life of every art and nature lover. After all, nature is the best form of art.”

A renowned member of the American Psychology Association, Singh is a trained Psychology Counselor who decided to take the road less travelled and translate her passion of creating artwork into her profession.

While her journey was not always a bed of roses, she kept going and needless to say, the unconditional support of her loved ones gave her the strength to continue creating mesmerizing artwork.

“I feel that it is certainly the support of my loved ones and my passion to create art which persuades my imagination to create something marvellous and unique every time I paint the canvas,” smiled Singh.

After 12 successful art exhibitions of Elysian-II, Singh has now marked the onset of the 13th edition of this six-day art exhibition at the Government Museum and Art Gallery, Sector 10, Chandigarh. It will take place from March 23rd to March 28th from 10 am to 5 pm.
