DIVYA AZAD
Prominent Sikh farmer leader, National Delegate of All India Jatt Maha Sabha and State President Chandigarh, Rajinder Singh Badheri has strongly condemned the provocative tweet of Uttar Pradesh BJP Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath on the Punjab government declaring Malerkotla as a new district. Farmer leader Badheri termed the statement as a manifestation of the saffron party’s narrow and communal policy and a very shameful thinking.
Badheri said that ever since the Modi government was formed at the Center, divisive policies were being implemented with the Sikhs and the Muslim community which were dangerous for a secular country. He said that such things were threatening the integrity of the country.
Rajinder Singh Badheri asked whether it was necessary for the yogi to change the name of Faizabad as Ayodhya. Badheri advised the yogi that he had become accustomed to playing unnecessary and communal political games in his state and was inculcating wrong traditions.
Badheri said that the central government should take stern notice and put an end to Yogi Aditya Nath. The Center should stop the yogi from making statements on the affairs of Punjab. Punjab has already suffered a lot. The Badals have brought the BJP and the Jana Sangh under narrow political interests. Sikhs have breathed a sigh of relief after the divorce of the Badals and the BJP.
Badheri said that now the Yogi should refrain from protesting to avenge the infidelity of the Badals.
