Allied College of Hospitality Culinary Arts & Management organised a workshop on millets preparation, a way for healthy life. Millets are a group of highly variable small-seeded grasses, widely grown around the world as cereal crops or grains for fodder and human food. The workshop was well attended by students of Allied College and other institutions of the region, said Pankaj Jasrotia, Principal. The Workshop menu offered an extensive selection of Millet recipes and the chefs offered breakfast and lunch which had the nutritional value of millets.The United Nations declared 2023 as the international year of the millets. The workshop focused on the Basic Nutrition Intervention and healthy food habits by including millets in diet. It helps in weight loss, besides adding nutritional value, informed Director, Sunali Jasrotia.
The special guest from TIGRE2SS Nutrition Team Chef Jaswinder Singh demonstrated the students on millets & Dr. Bharti Goyal (Gold Medalist) delivered a special lecture on the benefits of Millets.
