A patient knock from  Arjit Singh (105 off 158 balls) helped Terrace Zone to fight back against the mammoth posed by Sunkhna Zone at the third match of the UTCA Men’s Seniors Multi-Day Cricket Tournament being played at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium on Monday. In reply to Sukhna Zone’s 338/8, Terrace Zone had scored 318/6 at the end of the second day’s play. Despite a poor start by Terrace Zone at 30/2, opener Arjit Singh’s century boosted the team morale as unbeaten skipper Amrit Lubana (66) and Taranpreet Singh (52) also scored half-centuries.

Meanwhile, the Plaza Zone’s struggle continues against Rose Zone at GMSS School, Sector 26. Plaza Zone was bundled out for 210 against the total of Rose Zones’s 441/9. Deadly bowling spell from Abhishek (5/58) forced Plaza Zone to a dismal show. Ravikant (57) and Ripon Chaudhary (42) were the top scorers for the batting side. Jagdeep Singh and Dev Yadav shared two wickets each. Plaza Zone, in their second innings, had scored 147/4 with the help of captain Krunal Mahajan (47) and Vaibhav Narang (35) before the stumps were drawn. The Plaza Zone is still trailing by 84 runs.
