A magnificent century knock from Aryan helped Leisure Zone to beat Peace Zone by four wickets at the ongoing UTCA Men’s Under-19 ODI league match played at DAV School, Sector 8. Batting first, Peace Zone was bundled out for 262 runs wherein Paras (69) was the top scorer. Yuvraj (5/36) was the pick of the bowler from the fielding side. In reply, Aryan’s knock of 121 off 73 balls helped Leisure Zone to register a comfortable six-wicket win in the 39th over.
In another match played at Cricket Institute of Cricket, Rock Zone defeated Plaza Zone by two wickets. Rock Zone was all out for 212 as unbeaten Nagrath added 63 runs. In reply, Plaza Zone sealed the match with the last ball of the match at the loss of eight wickets. Unbeaten Aryan Mehta (49) smashed the winning score.
In the third match of the day, Rose Zone outclassed Sukhna Zone by six wickets. Sukhna scored 214 runs with the fine contributions from Jashn (66) and unbeaten Ayush Rawat (49). In reply, an unbeaten half century from Nikhil Kumar (93) helped the team to surpass the target at the loss of four wickets in 41st over.
Meanwhile in a league match of UTCA Girls Under 19 T20 Tournament being played at GNPS, Sector 36, Leisure Zone registered a one-sided victory of 66 runs over Rose Zone. Leisure Zone scored 129/6 with a solid start driven by the openers – Jasmeet Baidhwan (48) and Parushi Prabhakar (43). In reply, the Rose Zone was reduced to 63/8.
In the second match of the day, Rock Zone defeated Plaza Zone by six wickets. Plaza Zone scored 94/6 runs. Later, Rock Zone achieved the given target in the 20th over.
