Podcast has become a very common word nowadays, and as much as people have started listening to podcasts, the same interest has been seen in people to become podcasters too, creating a new urge of making it a profession. This urge to shine in the creative world of podcasting led writer Mubarak Sandhu to set a new benchmark for podcasters by releasing a Podcast Magazine titled The Mubarak Show Podcast Magazine.
Mubarak Sandhu, a writer of 3 fiction books and 2 poetry books, started his podcast in December 2023 with a vision of creating positive and motivational content through productive interactions with his guests. The podcast gained much appreciation around tricityand beyond as the show didn’t just feature esteemed guests from the region, but also from other states and countries. Being a writer, he always wanted to make a record of his podcasting journey, which he initially thought of by writing a book on the same. However, the creative mind worked its best one night, and the idea of creating a podcast magazine emerged. He checked out the internet to look for existing podcast magazines, but he couldn’t find any wherein a podcaster would create a magazine based on his/her own podcast. The opportunity to set a new benchmark had knocked Mubarak’s doors here.
Wasting no time at all, Mubarak Sandhu started working on his podcast magazine with a target of releasing it on completing 50 episodes, and he achieved this target with style. On 6thDecember, 2024, The Mubarak Show completed its 50 episodes in 50 straight weeks without missing any week, featuring a new guest in a new episode every Friday. The podcast magazine comes as an annual magazine, which will be released every year in the month of December, but it is important to mention that it is not a commercial magazine and will be created for private circulation only. The magazine includes the podcasting journey through the year along with sharing the details of all 50 guests who featured in The Mubarak Show in the year 2024. Furthermore, crucial insights are also shared in the magazine such as the challenges shared by a podcaster and the support with which the challenges can be overcome. All such details make this magazine a documented record of podcasting journey through the year, which will be created every year in December. The Mubarak Show Podcast Magazine has been created as both print and digital magazine, which also includes direct links of guests embedded with their profile descriptions, making it easier for the readers to connect with them.
As Mubarak Sandhu was already expecting to launch his new poetry book around this time, so he planned everything in an aligned way, and unveiled the Podcast Magazine along with his new book ‘The Best Poetry Book, I Wish It Becomes’ at the UT State Guest House in Chandigarh. The podcast magazine and poetry book were launched by Lt. Gen. KJS ‘Tiny’ Dhillon, Mr. Vivek Atray, Ms. Saguna Jain and Mr. Hardeep Singh Chandpuri, and the event was organized under the support of Novel Bunch Literary Forum. ‘The Best Poetry Book, I Wish It Becomes’ is available on Amazon worldwide, and is already topping the charts in poetry genre while The Mubarak Show Podcast Magazine is available with Mubarak Sandhu.
