During the ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ from January 16 to 31 various activities like cleaning of offices, beautification, weeding out old files, contests, plantation and other programme were organized by different media units of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in Chandigarh. PIB gave media support to all media units.
The concluding function of Swachhta Pakhwada organized by Press Information Bureau today in which apart from PIB, officers and officials of DFP, DAVP and Song & Drama Division also participated. Chief Guest Shri Ashish Goyal, Director of the Directorate of Field Publicity urged the staff members to make swachhta in all aspects of life in office, home and surrounding daily.
A declamation contest among staff members was oragansed. Dharam Singh Negi bagged forst prize while Balwant Singh and Ahmad Khand received second and third prizes respectively. Consolation prizes were won by Tapan Saini, Tanveer Khilzi, Babita and Rohit . Prizes were given away to the winners jointly by the Director Ashish Goyal and Joint Director, PIB, Shri Pavitar Singh.
On the occasion, Shri Rajesh Bali, Field Publicity Officer familiarized the contestants about the nuances of public speaking like self confidence eye contact, presentation, delivering, control etc. Shri Anuj Chandak, Deputy Director, DFP, Ms. Sapna, Assistant Director, DAVP and Shri Hemant Kumar Chauhan, Assistant Director (M&C), PIB performed the duties of judges.
