Tricity Churches Association members today took out a candle march and held a prayer meeting in support of the girl child. The prayer meeting was kept in view of the growing atrocities against the girls in the recent past.
Adviser Lawrence Malik said, the Christian community was angered with recent incidents and sought immediate action and a detailed probe into incidents. They expressed their solidarity with the families of those girls who had been exploited and even murdered, citing the recent case of J&K.
Among prominent present in the prayer meeting included Fr Domnic, Fr. Premanand, Rev. Denzil, Rev. John Peter, Benny Thomas, Edwin Gill, Yunus Peter, Rev. Alisha, Simmi Dhingra, Kanchan Mittal and William Gill.
