Kamyak Channa, student of Aakash BYJU’S from Chandigarh has secured an overall 99.998 percentile with 100 percentile in Maths in the first session of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 and has topped the tricity of Chandigarh-Panchkula-Mohali. Another student Hardik Goyal from Panchkula has secured 99.95 percentile with 100 percentile in Physics. The results were announced by the National Testing Agency a few days back. This was the first out of the two Joint Entrance Exams for Engineering scheduled to be held this year. From Chandigarh region 83 other students have scored 99 percentile and above.
Some of the meritorious students from Chandigarh felicitated are Kamyak Channa who scored 99.99 percentile, Deevij Bansal who scored 99.97 percentile, Ayush Ahuja who scored 99.90 percentile, Dhruva J Herrick who scored 99.83 percentile, Aryan Raina who scored 99.71, Kaavya Arora 99.15 and Arman Chaudhary 99.01 percentile.
The toppers from Panchkula branch included, Hardik Goyal who scored 99.95, Abhishek Luthra 99.34, Kabir 99.30, Ishan Yadav 99.20 and Manpreet Singh who secured 99.21 percentile.
The students joined Aakash BYJU’S classroom programme to crack IIT JEE, considered the world’s toughest entrance exam. They attributed their entry into the elite list of top percentiles in JEE to their efforts in understanding the concepts and their strict adherence to their learning schedule. They said, “We are grateful that Aakash BYJU’S has helped us with both. But for the content and coaching from the institute, we would not have grasped many concepts in different subjects in a short period of time.”

JEE (Main) is conducted in two sessions to give multiple opportunities for students to improve their scores. While JEE Advanced is only for admissions to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), JEE Main is for admission to several National Institute of Technologies (NITs) and other centre-aided engineering colleges in India. Students must appear for JEE Main to sit for JEE Advanced.
