Ushering in the winter and wedding season, a 3-day lifestyle and home décor exhibition ‘Afreen’, Winter Edit. has kicked off at Kisan Bhawan, Sector 35, Chandigarh.
In order to provide a one-of-a-kind shopping experience to the tricity residents– the organizers have brought more than 50 renowned exhibitors from different parts of India to display their products in the genres of wedding wear, winter attires, fashion, lifestyle, décor and accessories under one roof.
People thronged the exhibition in large numbers on the opening day of the exhibition, which will be on till December 4, 2023-Monday, from 11 am till 8 pm daily.
Rattandeep Singh Walia, co-organizer of the exhibition, said, “Keeping in mind the customer needs for the winter and ongoing wedding season, we have brought top exhibitors from across the country, who are displaying a plethora of fashionable clothing and lifestyle enhancing products. At ‘Afreen’, you will find good warm clothes for the winter season, and an exquisite collection of designer clothes for wedding purposes. Moreover, jewellery items, trendy handbags and gift items are also therae at the exhibition.”
Aman Walia, the other co-organiser added, “We have made sure that ‘Afreen’ is a one stop shop for customers. ‘Afreen’s’ USP is that the offerings here exude craftsmanship and quality and are still affordable.”
At the exhibition, the exquisite handicraft of local artisans of Jammu and Kashmir is the centre of attraction. ‘Deeva Trends’ is displaying awe inspiring collections of Papier Mache art work from Kashmir . There are other exhibitors like ‘Kashmiri Art Gallery ‘ from Kashmir displaying Kashmiri embroidery based phirans, suits, pashmina shawls, stoles and scarves etc.
Capturing the essence of Indian tradition which resonates with the modern woman’s lifestyle – ‘Sui Dhaga’ is presenting some breath-taking collections of designer party and wedding suits. The label has also on display a stitched and unstitched winter wear collection of suits. The ‘Design Factory’ is present with elegant collections of designer velvet, handwork Pakistani and party wear suits.
‘J Studio’ from Ludhiana is displaying beautiful collections of western and indo-western apparels such as co-ord sets, western tops, night wear, etc.
Apart from designer winter and wedding wear there are a plethora of options in jewellery too. In this genre ‘The House of Masa’ has an enthralling collection of jewellery items, these include silver and gold plated items like silver rings studded with diamonds, pendants, necklace sets and pearl earrings, etc. Another fashion accessories label ‘Apostle’ also showcased some elegant collections like quality German silver, brass, natural stone neck piece (mala), rings, pendants and chokers etc. Trendy handbags and Punjabi juttis are also on display at the exhibition.
To elevate one’s ‘home ambiance’ – ‘The Aroma Nest’ has on display a myriad of scented candles. Some of the highlights which captivated the senses of visitors with its rich inviting fragrance were – Premium Jar Candle, T-Light Candle, Salsa Jar Candle, Peony Flower Candle, Golden Window TIN Candle and Bubble Candle, etc.
Those who are looking to refurbish the interiors of their homes with amazing art work – ‘Meraki’ from Haryana has brought some beautiful handmade paintings in different art works like soil, acrylic and texture. The label also is showcasing some amazing collections of handmade wood work items of key rings and home décor pieces made by raisin and mix media art.
