Allen Chandigarh students outshine in Science Olympiads

In its 10th Year of Inception, Allen Chandigarh has been consistently producing some of the Top Ranks in various Olympiads held across the globe. After producing exemplary results in JEE Mains, Allen Chandigarh students have outshined in various National & International Olympiads.

Harsh Jakhar, Chandigarh boy has won Bronze Medal in Asian Physics Olympiad. He is a meritorious kid and is a student of Bal Niketan. He is a part of Allen Career Institute for his IIT preparation. Harsh had 95.6 percent in Class X and is an avid lover for Table Tennis and Basketball. His both parents are in BSNL and his goal is to crack IIT & joins Mumbai campus.

The International Physics Olympiad (IPhO), organised by the Physics Olympiad Association of Switzerland, will be held in the online mode from July 10 to 18, this year. Harsh Jakhar has been selected to represent India based on his performance in the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Physics (IOQP) Part II and other eligibility criteria, as decided earlier.

Dherya got selected in reputed Orientation Cum Selection Camp (OCSC) for Junior Science Olympiad organized by HBCSE on recommendation of Ministry of Science And Technology, a Govt of India Undertaking. Dherya has moved to class X and is a student of DAV Palampur. He was also a student of Allen Career Institute in class 8 and 9 in the Online Mode. He is an avid reader. Father is a lecturer in government school and teaches physics whereas mother is a biology teacher in a private school. His elder brother was an Allen student and is currently pursuing B.Tech. from IIT Patna.

Only 35 students are selected every year in OCSC camp for Junior Science Olympiad which is just a step closer to representing India in the International stage in a group of 6 students. Winning students get Gold, Silver and Bronze medals both in individual and team events.

Three Allen tricity students were successful in the recently organized Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan jointly by Vijnana, Vigyan Prasar and NCERT. The objective of this particular exam is to create interest among students for Pure Sciences. It is an App based online exam at national level for students of class 6 to class 11. All these three students have been taking coaching at Allen Career Institute in different classes. These include Arnav Singhal, Arpita Panigrahi, and Aaryav Prashar.
