Onset of the spring season with a variety of bright blooms add elegance and happiness and a parallel effect was witnessed at the Alumni Meet in PG Govt. College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh today. A ‘Cultural Bonanza’ was organised by NOSTALGIA -The Alumni Association of the college.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Anita Kaushal, Principal, who herself is an Alumna of the college. Releasing the Newsletter on this occasion she felt proud to have been associated with the institution in the capacity of a student, a teacher and now as a principal. She highlighted that the alumnae of this institution are holding positions of responsibility in both public and corporate sectors. They are keeping the college flag aloft in diverse walks of life ranging from Judiciary to Civil Service, Academics to Performing Arts, and from Sports to Engineering and Medicine.
It was interesting to see the alumnae from as old as 1960s batches mingling with the ones who have recently graduated. The former and the present students showcased a wide variety of Cultural performances. The audience was mesmerised by the Medley of Folk songs and melodious numbers. Sufiana dance, Sargam based classical dance, Manipuri dance and Gidha had the gathering swerving on their feet. Exciting games enabled the alumnae to relive and walk through the classrooms and corridors of the college once again. The meet culminated on a happy note to meet again and maintain a lifelong connection with the alma mater.
