National Sports Day was observed with full enthusiasm at Ankur School in Sector 14 here. Students from Class Seven to 10. A marathon was also organised early in the morning at 6.30 a.m.
The winners in girls marathon were Amandeep Kaur of Class 8, Radhika and Anshi of Class 7, who won first, second and third prizes respectively. On the other hand in Boys category, the winners were Lakshay and Vivek of Class 7 and Pranav of Class 8 who were first, second and third prize winners respectively.
In Category of Class 9 and 10, the winning girls were Isha, Garima of Class 10 and Nipun of Class 9 who won first, second and third prizes respectively. On the other hand in the boys category, Ankush of Class 10, Divanshu of Class 9 and Nitish of Class 10 were top three positions respectively.
The school principal Dr. Parminder Duggal spoke on the importance of celebrating National Sports Day and congratulated all the winners.
